  3. AB- Thanks for sending this link. Good explanation of who is a good referral for you. I'll keep it in mind.
    As for who is an ideal client, I've found that defining this precisely is key to understanding your markets. It's really a process that starts whith understanding what are your target markets(plural). Breaking these down beyong the generic will give you insight into the marketing strategies that are most likely to reach the largest number of likely client/customers, and will also suggest the most effective marketing channels for each market or ideal customer. Too many small businesses don't take the time to really paint a picture of what that client looks like. It takes a little effort, but it's well worth it. Hope this helps
